OSS 117: Cairo, Nest of Spies (2006)

Hollywood has been buzzing for months about the powerhouse that has become The Artist. I praised the film earlier in the month for its genuine feel and great acting. I was curious though to see what else this director has done. My attention was brought to a duet of films that were a spoof of these old French spy flicks of the 1960’s. I was surprised to find that these movies all have the same people from Team Artist: the director, its stars, even its composer Loudovico Bource (who I neglected to mention is my review: excellent score). I knew now that I must watch these movies as soon as possible. So I spent my Valentine’s Day with Jean Dujardin and Berence Bejo.
